The killing and burning alive of men, women and children, and setting Are 'to 44 villages . are among the charges against the Liberian authorities and admitted by the Liberian delegation, which asserted that the measures were necessary to maintain order. The committee dealing with Liberian affairs, resolved to urgently recomment the Council to send representatives to the Kru Coast. to assist in the pacification of the country and to encourage tribes to return to their Milages under conditions of security.
