LADIES’ GOLF.
ROTORUA TOURNAMENT. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. ROTORUA, Tuesday. The annual open championship tournament, and the qualifying- round of the open championship and medal, handicap, were played under the control of the Rotorua Ladies’ Golf Club to-day. There were 60 entries. The qualifying round results were as follows: —Mrs Butler, 89, 12 —77; Mrs J. Wilson, 87, 10—77; Miss Wilkinson, 89, 11—78; Mrs Tapper, 102 24 —78; Mrs Collinson, 90, 12— Mrs Ferguson, 85, 5—80; Miss P. Hartley, 98, 17—81; Miss Dudding, 94, 12—82; Miss Shroff, 99, 16—83; Miss J. Black, 100, 17 —83; Miss I. McMullan, 107, 23 —84; Miss Hewitt, 98, 12—8 G; Miss L. Dyer, 99, 13— 86; Mrs Guy Williams, 91, 4—87; Miss J. Williams, 102, 14 — 88; Mrs Parata, 102, 12—90. The winners of the medal handicap were as follows: —A grade: Mrs J. A. Wilson. B grade; Mrs Worthington. HAMILTON LADIES' CLUB. An inter-club match was played on the St. Andrews links yesterday between representatives of the Cambridge and Hamilton Clubs. The weather was ideal for golf, and the links were in splendid order for play. Hamilton won by 12 games to 4, four being all square. The matches resulted as follows, the Cambridge players being mentioned firstMrs Freeman and Mrs L. I. Day, all square; Miss E. Robinson lost to Mrs G. W. Gower, 4—3; Mrs Law lost to Mr s d. Hazard, 6—5; Miss Garland beat Miss Provis, 4—3; Miss Brewer lost to Mrs H. D. Matthews, 1 down; Miss C. Hewett beat Mrs F. Hardy, 3—2; Miss J. Couper lost to Miss D. Eyre, B—7;8 —7; Mrs A. 11. Nicol lost to Mrs T. C. Fraser, 6—5; Mrs Ward lost to Mrs W. J. King, 3 —l; Mrs L. Mahoney lost to Mrs A. E. Sandford, 6—4; Mrs •M. Souter lost to Miss E. Bell, 1 down; Mrs 11. J. Ambury beat Miss E. Seavill, 2—l; Mrs N. Mac-Icy and Mrs 11. C. Ross, all square; Mrs R. Alford and Mrs L. Tompkins, all square; Miss D. Neeley lost to Miss A. Wilson, 4—3; Mrs E. Niclde beat Mrs N.
