EXPLOSION AT FIRE.
BUILDING WRECKED. A FIREMAN KILLED. SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY, May 18. (Received May 18, 2.10 p.m.)' A fire at Armidale this morning reached a stock of explosives in Messrs Braund and Company’s store, and the explosion, which resulted, wrecked the building,, killed a fireman names Jones, and injured two others seriously, and several slightly. The w'hole town was shaken, many windows were smashed in adjacent premises.
