DEALT OUT DEATH.
ZEPPELIN RAID IN 1915. CAPTAIN TO TALK OVER RADIO. A STORM OF CONTROVERSY. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received May 18, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 17. There is a storm of controversy over the Broadcasting. Corporation’s proposal to permit a series of hazard radio talks by Captain Johann Breithaupt, commander of one of the Zeppelins which raided London in 1915, killing 70 men, women and children and injuring 128. “ I do not see why the person responsible for killing our women and children should be given facilities for telling the British public how he did it,” says Commander O. LockerLampson (Conservative member for Hanclsworth, Birmingham). Admiral Mark Kerr hopes that Captain Breithaupt will 'confine himself to a condemnation of air raids, involving tho loss of civilian life. The corporation’s only reply to the objectors is: “ Switch off if you do no| like the talk.”
