STEADY SALE FOR PEDIGREES. The third annual sale of the ‘‘Fern Oak” stud of Jerseys was held in the presence of many prominent breeders and dairymen, from all parts of the North Island. Bidding was steady throughout, although no fancy prices were offered, the highest for a heifer being 33gns, which Mr B. W. Sutton, of Te Arohn, paid for Fern Oak Rutter Girl. The highest priced cow went to Mr W. R. Munro, at 26gns, and the highest price obtained for yearling hulls was 20Jgns, paid by ‘Mr P. H. Rowe (Kio Kio), for Fern Oak Oxford Majesty. The 20 heifers offered sold at an •average price of 21igns, the ten cows averaged 13Jgns, and the 14 hulls sold at an average of 13Jgns.
