DARING BURGLARIES.
POST OFFICE ROBBED. INTRUDER SECURES £lO6. (By Telegrapli.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. A store at 'Templeton was entered last night and a safe belonging to the Post Office, of which the store is a branch, was broken open and a cashbox containing £lO6 in cash, besides cheques, was removed.
A steel net inside the window of the shop was cut out by the thieves, who also took cigarettes to the value of £2O, and two overcoats.
BURGLARY AT PALMERSTON. ABOUT £2O TAKEN. PALMERSTON N., Sunday. A dairy in Cuba Street, occupied by -Mr and Mrs Barnes, was entered last evening and between £lB and £2O of cash takings and other contents of the cash box removed.
GOOD HAULS AT NAPIER. TWO PREMISES ENTERED. NAPIER, Monday. Goods valued aI, £l2O were taken by burglars during the week-end from the premises of Hallslein Bros., in Emerson Street, shirts, shoes, etc., comprising the bulk of Ihe swag. Rifles and ammunition valued at £4O were taken by the same means from the premises of Henry Williams and Sons, in Hastings Street.
