ELECTION OF DIRECTORS. The head office of the society has advised I hat the full result of Hie ballot for the election of directors was as follows: —Mr J. O. Meeks, 78,915 Notes; Mr F. 11. Tout, 70,214; Mr ,). II F. Fairfax. 22,022; Mr ,1. E. Garvan, 0811. The two first.-named, the retiring directors, were declared elected. Sir Adrian Knox, holding a seat on the principal Board, died on the. 271 h ultimo, the vacancy thus caused being filled hv the appointment of Mr l n. F Fairfax, Ihe candidate securing third place in the election returned to above.
