UNEMPLOYMENT.

RELIEF IN HAMILTON. A MAXIMUM ALLOCATION. ANOTHER CUT THIS WEEK. Provision been made in the Hamilton Borough this week for 175 men on relief work. The allocation available entails an eight-hour cut on those employed in the town and a three-hour cut for those in the country. In response to representations made to the Minister of Employment, the Mayor (Dr. F. D. Pinfold) has been advised that the present allocation is the maximum one that can he made at present. Work this week has been provided for 32 four-day men, 114 three-day men, six two-day men and approximately 23 single men.
