How a mosquito blip cured a man of a disease until recently regarded as fatal was described by the Mayor o( Bournemouth in an address lo Hie Hospital Saturday and Sunday Fund Committee, says a London paper. An authority on tropical diseases stated that the treatment had been known for five or six years. lie explained that malaria infection was conveyed by the mosquito’s bite. “ The high temperatures which accompany the fever have been found to have a very definite curative effect on general paralysis,” ho said. “We have not been able to discover why this should be, but the treatment does have very successful results and Hie cure is often practically complete.”
