PRINCE AND MARRIAGE.

“MOST SACRED THING. AN ASTROLOGER’S PREDICTION. HIS HIGHNESS AMUSED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received April 29, 12.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 28. Mr C. Cannell, the author of the book “ When Fleet Street Calls,” just published, cites a Court official as stating that the Prince of Wales regards marriage as a sacred thing above policy and high politics. His continued bachelorhood is the subject of much teasing in the Royal Family, particularly by the Duchess of York, but the Queen, is often serious In connection with the matter.

Though the Prince of Wales takes teasing by his close relatives in the best of humour, it is a sensitive spot where others are concerned, and even his best friends do not venture to mention it.

The Prince of Wales had a good laugh when an astrologer recently forecast that he would be married in May, 1934, to a lady with initials “ L.R.P.” Mr Cannell declares: ‘‘There is definitely no woman in the offing. I should not he surprised if the Prince of Wales always remained a bachelor.”
