FRUITGROWERS HOPEFUL,
United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright VANCOUVER, April 27.
British Columbia business interests unanimously endorse the trade treaty with New Zealand.
The lumbermen, fish canners and fruit growers are particularly pleased. The latter believe that they can capture the New Zealand apple and pear market.
VICTORIA, April 27
"The New Zealand-Canada trade treaty gives Canada a distinct advantage over non-British countries," declared Mr S. E. Tolmie, Premier of British Columbia. "it is a splendid thing to seo that we are becoming more Empire-minded in trade purchases, and giving aid to our sister Dominions. Canada will be richly rewarded for the closer trade association with both New Zealand and Australia."
