COUNTY ELECTIONS,

THE WAIPA COUNCIL. NOMINATIONS RECEIVED. THREE RIDINGS CONTESTED. Nominations for Waipa Count} Council representatives closed at noon to-day. Two members are required in both the Mangapiko and Newcastle Ridings, and one for each of the other eight ridings in the county. In those ridings where only the requisite representation has been nominated no election will be necessary. Sitting members are marked with an asterisk. The nominations are:—Mangapiko Riding: John Thomas Johnson*, Samuel C. Macky*. Newcastle Riding.—Alexander Livingstone*, Sidney Samuel Saulbrey*, Francis Leo Onion. Kakepuku Riding: George Sydney Clarke*. Orakau Riding: William McGee*. Itangaohia Riding: Alfred Hutchison Storey*. Pukekura Riding: John Scott Fisher*. Kaipaki Riding: Robert G. Speake*, Levi Cowley. Rukuhia Riding: Egerton F. Peacocked Hamilton Riding: Thomas Ghurch\ Frederick William Thomas. Tuhikaramea Riding: Nell Reid*. Waikato Hospital Board. As the nominations of A. Livingstone and J. J. Ryburn have been the only ones received for two seats to represent the combined district of Waipa County, Leamington Town District and Ngaruawahia Borough on the Waikato Hospital Board, they are automatically returned unopposed. Eleotrlo Power Board. i No election will be necessary for three members on the Central Electrio Power Board, A. Livingston*, E. F. Peacocke* and J. J. Ryburn* beiug 1 returned unopposed. Te Awamutu Power Board. The five sitting members have been nominated for five seats to represent the combined district of Waipa County, Kihikihi Town District and Ohaupo Town District, on the Te Awamutu Power Board, no election being necessary. They are: J. T. Johnson*, S. C. Macky*, A. H. Storey*, J. A. G. Sutherland’ and J. B. Teasdale*. Cambridge Power Board. The three sitting members were the only nominations received to represent the county on the Cambridge Electrio Power Board: J. S. Fisher*. J. W. Garland* and F. Lye* are re* turned unopposed.
