BASKETBALL,

WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the Waikato Basketball Association 13 delegates from schools and clubs were present. Reports from primary and secondary sections showed that the past season had In every way been very successful. Several new clubs had entered for the secondary grade competitions. In the primary section the Senior and Junior Cups had been won by Hamilton West School. High School Old Girls A and High School A had gone through the season without a defeat, winning respectively the Senior and Junior Cups In the secondary section. It was decided to open the new season on May 2 5 for the primary and on June .11 for the secondary section* and to make the usual donation to the Domain Board for the preparation and use of playing fields. Officers were elected as fallows:— President, Mr E. Wilson; secretaries, Miss Atkinson and Miss Barrowclough; treasurer, Miss Gordon.
