At the wool sales 12.163 bales were offered, including 4248 from New Zealand. About 4200 bales were sold at full rates. New' Zealand clips: Greasy crossbred, “ Seafund," top price Bd, average Od; tialfbred lambs, “ C.M.C..” 9Jd and BAd. The sales closed with prices at the highest of the series. Competition has steadily improved since Monday, and prices have hardened. Merinos recovered their opening decline, and are now fully equal to March closing prices. Ordinary topmaking are 5 per cent, below March prices; faulty 10 per cent, below; good scoureds, 7Ad per cent, down; crossbreds, line, at March level; medium and coarse, 7A per cent, below; slipes, 5 to 7A per cent. down. The total catalogue was 81,763 bales, of which 38,000 were sold to Home buyers, 31,500 bales to Continental traders, 97 bales being held over.
