THE NEW LEGISLATION.. METHOD OF PROCEDURE. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) W ELL IN G TON, Thu rs d ay. The procedure for applying for relief under the recent legislation dealing with mortgagee and mortgagor and landlord and tenant is outlined in a notice gazetted this evening. The regulations have been devised In consultation with Judges of the Supreme Court. Applications, which have to be made in writing to the appropriate Court, have, to set out with reasonable particularity the nature of relief sought. With this application, the mortgagor or tenant may tile supporting affidavits and the mortgagee or others persons affected may file aflldavits in reply. In eases where the parties cannot agree, the registrar of the Supreme. Court or the clerk of the Magistrate's Court, as the ease may be, shall refer the applicants to an adjustment commission for Investigation. After receiving the commission's report, the registrar shall, after reference to the respective, parties, tlx a time and place for the hearing of the application by tho Court.

It Is expressly prescribed that no Court fees shall he payable in connection with any applications under the Mortgagors' Relief Act, 1031. tho Mortgagors’ Relief Amendment Act, 1031, or the Mortgagors’ and Tenants’ Relief Act. 1032.
