PU3LIC NOTICE. pENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. NOTICE OF PROPOSED LOAN. Notice is hereby given that the Central Electric Power Board proposes to raise a special loan under the;provisions of “The Electric Power Boards Act,' 1925,” ‘‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, sanction as. required by “The Local Government Loans/Board" Act, 1926” having been obtained. Tho special area over which it is proposed, to raise the loan comprised all those portions of the Central. Electric Power District as- defined, by Orders-in-Council 'appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on ,the Bth. day ot. July, 1920, 7th : day of September, 1922, 6th day of March, '1924, 7th day of August, 1924. Bth day Of January, 1925, 3rd day of December, i 925, and Bth day ‘of September, 1927, being the whole of the Central Electric Power District with the, exception of that portion of the of Raglan included in the said District by Order-ih-Council appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on 27th day of March, 1930. , . The purpose for which the loan Is required, is the' oonstruotlon and erection of transmission lines, transformer stations,'and all fittings and appliances for conveying, transmitting and distributing electricity . in . the Special Area aforesaid, including the purchase of all necessary land, buildings, material, plant and tools, and all payments for labour, engineer’s fees, plans and supervision, and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such works, in respect of which works guarantees as described in Claufee 12 (1) of the'Electrical Supply Regulations 1927 .haye ..first been given in favour of the Power Board for payments amounting in each of not less than five consecutive years from the completion of such' works to at least If, 2-3 per cent of the estimated caph tal 'cost of such works. The sum which it is proposed to borrow is £40,000. , The proposed security for the pay L ' ment of-interest and sinking fund is a Special Rate of One-ninth of a penny (l-9d) .in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the aforesaid special area. It is proposed that the term for which the loan is borrowed shall not exceed Twenty-six (26) years, and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than Two per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the lean. It is not proposed to pay any portion of interest or sinking of the loan. ■ "■ By order of the Central Electric Power Board. 11. J. The Waikato County Council proposes to stop -the following roads under the provisions of “The Publio Works Aot 1928”: — 1.
