FAVOURABLE TRADE BALANCE

The Department of Commerce reports that the United States closed the year 1931 with a favourable trade balance of about £66,815,200. The total value of exports for the year was £484,836,600 and the total value of Imports £418,021,400. Both were about £200,000,000 below the previous year’s figures. ’
