BIDDING QUIET.
WEEK-END QUOTATIONS RULE.

I ’AUCKLAND, I Monday.
Bidding was quiet at the fist call of the week at the Stock Exchange. Brokers were content for the most part to reinstate the quotations ruling at the week-end, and alterations were of. only a minor nature. In the banking section Commercials were' steady with buyers at 14s'. sd, holders asking 3d higher.
Waihi’s j were firm with buyers at 16s 7d and sellers at 16s 9d. In Government stocks tax frees were on offer at £96 10s, arid there were buyers of 5i per cents. (1937) at £99 15s.
