A PLEASURE TRIP.
LONDON SOLICITOR’S VISIT. With the objo'ct mainly of escaping the English winter, Mr W. Martin, an elderly solicitor from the London disIrlot, arrived in Wellington by tho Shaw, SaviH liner Talnui. He proposes spending six or seven weeks in New Zealand. Speaking to a Post representative Mr Marlin said lie had boon practising as a solicitor in Hie London district for about 45 years. He was still practising, but "only for the purpose of convenience.” Mr Martin lias done a considerable amount of travelling. “Last winter,” lie said, “I spent going right round Africa. It was a slow boat, but I selected it for that purpose. My main object in making these I rips is really to avoid, tho English winter, which tries me considerably these days." He lias not visited New Zealand previously, and is eager to see Ihe geysers and hoi. springs. “After making a brief tour of tiiis country,” be added, “I am going on to Sydney, and then home via the Cape.
