WEDDING.

WIBEMAN—PHILLIPS. A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church, Hamilton, on January 2 between Pervie, only daughter of Mrs Phillips, of Auckland, and the late' Mr R. Phillips, and Frank, third son of Mr J. Wiseman, of Nadarivatu, Fiji, and the late Mrs Wiseman, of Dannevirke. The Rev. Roseveare, of Papatoetoe, ; performed the and the wedding music was played by Miss Leah Roseveare. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her- uncle, Mr T. Carswell, looked charming in a gown of white georgette and lace. Her long tulle veil was prettily arranged with olusters of orange blossom, and she carried a lovely bouquet of white roses and carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss Claire Webb, of Mt. Albert, -and Miss Gladys Donnell, of Otahuhu, who wmre floral ninon frocks in -shades of pink and blue, with hats and shoes to match, -and carried bouquets of pink and lavender. Little Miss Patty Johnstone was flower-girl, and wore a frock of buttercup organdie with Dutch bonnet and carried a gold basket of pink and mauve flowers. The duties of best man,were carried out by Mr B. Wiseman, of Dannevirke, and Mr Carswell Phillips, of Clevedon, was groomsman.

After the ceremony the guests were entertained at .the Wattle Tearooms by Mrs Phillips, who wore a navy blue crepe art satin frock with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of red dahlias. Mrs Gillespie, of Dannevirke, eldest sister of the bridegroom, wore a navy crepe de ‘chine frock relieved with fawn, and a navy hat, and carried a bopquot of red carnations.

Later -the brido and bridegroom left on their honeymoon tour, the bride ■travelling in a powder blue crepe de chine ensemble, with bat and shoes to match. Mr and’Mrs Wiseman have now left on the Aorangl for their future home, Nadarivatu, Fiji.
