Alfred Buokland and Sons." Messrs Alfred Duckland and Sons report that at Westfield they penned 349 head of cattle, comprising 189 steers and 160 cows.and heifers, compared with 405 last Wednesday. There was no improvement in the demand and prices again receded, except In Isolated, cases of choice light stock. Fat pigs 'were in full supply and'the yarding included a large proportion of extra prime baconers. ; Medium to top-weight good ..quality sorts' sold st eadily'at last week’s rales, but-over-weights were not;;.in such good demand.
