The Auckland Racing Club's summer meeting was continued at Ellerslie to-day in line weather before a good attendance for an off day. The course was in splendid order. Following are the results: — .

Knight of Australia was most in demand with £Ol7 from Juniper (£668), Nea Lap (£536), and Beaco-n Fire (£457), the Te Rapa trained Hit The Deck being the outsider of the field with £75 10s on his prospects. Chief Jewel w r as the first out from Beacon Fire, Juniper, Hit The Deck and Te Money. Going along The back Beacon Fire had charge from Nea Lap, L’Allegro, Exaggeration, Jalldy Karo, Hit The Deck, Juniper, Chief Jewel, Knight of Australia and Te Money. Nea Lap led across the top and showed the. way into the straight to Knight of Australia, Hit The Deck, Beacon Fire, Te Money anl Jalldy Karo. Hit Ihe Deck drew right out in the closing stages to win by a length and a-quarter from Beacon Fire who was a length in front of Nea Lap. Chief Jewel was fourth and then came D,’Allegro, Knight of Australia, Trishna, Te Money, Juniper, Jalldy Karo and Pateena. Time, 1.39. After passing the six-furlong post Exaggeration fell and interfered with Bronze Tray, who was pulled up. The winner paid nearly a third of a century.

Bronze Eagle was an odds-on favourite with £l4 53 10s from Cadland (£470) and Golden Wings (£329 1 Os). The field went away in good line, Golden Wings showing out first from Bronze Eagle, Cadland and High Comedy. Along Hie back Golden Wings and Bronze Eagle were together with Cadland and High Comedy as named. Half a mile from home High Comedy moved up on terms with Bronze Eagle, Golden Wings being still the pace maker. The latter showed the way into the straight to High Comedy, Bronze Eagle and Cadland. When Bronze Eagle was asked for a serious effort lie soon silenced the opposition to win by two lengths from Cadland with Golden Wings three-quarters of a length away followed by High Comedy. Golden Wedding was stood behind (he Held, Kawainga Inking charge from Advancif Camp, Pennyplain, Gruachan and Russet .Moor. Greina's King fell at the llrsl jump. Kawainga led past the stands from Advance Gamp, Gruachan, Pennyplain, Husscl Moor, Kairuri. Simeon, Billy Roy, Nassock, Golden Wedding, Gal-i-mes and I’alutalii. Kawainga was still the pi I it along the hack and crossing Ihe top where Advance. Gamp. Pennyplain, Russet Moor. Simeon, Gruachan, Hilly Roy, Golden Wedding and Kairuri were, in that order. Gruachan fell at the second last fence. Kawainga. Advance Gamp and Penny plain were together at Ihe last jump followed hv Simeon, Russet Moor. GoliTen Welding, Kairuri and Billy Roy. Simeon fell at this fence. Kawainga saw it out to win by half a length from Kairuri who was three-quarters of a length in Iron; of .Golden Wedding.

Advance Camp was fourth followed by Russet Moor, Pennyplain, Billy Boy, Nassock, Cat-i-mes and Patutahi. Time, 3.40 2-5. The winner returned just under Half a century.

Compris was most in demand with £773 from Admiral Drake (£702) and Chromadyne (£523), Jaloux being ninth in request with £350. Chromadyne led out of the straight from Baroscope, Admiral Drake, Pomp, Dunraven, Prince Val and Lady Pam. Chromadyne and Pomp were together along the back followed by Admiral Drake, Dunraven, Royal Artist, Lady Pam, Prince Val, Jaloux, Pegaway, Baroscope, Royal Doulton. Compris and White Wings. Across the top Chromadyne and Pomp were still together followed by Royal Artist, Admiral Drake, Dunraven, Jaloux, Prince Val and Lady Pam. Chromadyne, Pomp and Jaloux were on terms into the straight and then came Royal Artist, Admiral Drake, Dunraven, Prince Val, Lady Pam and Pegaway. A great finish saw Jaloux win by half a head from Admiral Drake who beat Pegaway by one and a-lialf lengths. Prince Val was fourth followed by White Wings, Pomp, Chromadyne, Dunraven, Royal Artist, Royal Doulton, Lady Pam and Baroscope. The time, 2.5 2-5, was a track record. The sectional times were:— Two furlongs 275, three furlongs 39 2-ss; four furlongs, 51 3-5 s, five furlongs im 3 1 - ss, sixfurlongs lm 15 3-ss, seven furlongs lm 28s, the full journey 2m 5 3-ss. This was the order in which they finished, Closing Time beating .Midinette by a length and aquarter with Gold Trail a length and a- half further off. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. While galloping on No. 3 grass track at Ellerslie this morning Supremacy fell and fractured a leg, and had lo be destroyed.

The jockey, if. Stokes, sustained concussion, and was sent to hospital.

Supremacy, who numbered among his recent successes the Railway Handicap, at the Auckland meeting, on Saturday, was a five-year-old gelding by Chief Ruler—Lucella. He raced in the ownership Of Mr A.
