SCHMELLING v. WALKER. TO MEET IN FEBRUARY. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyriga* NEW YORK, Dec. 27. The world’s champion heavy-weight boxer, Max Schmeling, will defend his title against Mickey Walker at Miami, Florida, in the last week of February under the auspices of the Madison Square Garden Corporation. The articles will he signed on Tuesday or Wednesday. Mr J. Jacobs, Schmeling’s manage*, announces that he is also trying to arrange another bout for the title for June or September against either Dempsey or Sharkey. PALMER BEATS THORNTON. PALMERSTON N., Monday. In a professional boxing contest this evening Ambrose Palmer obtained a decision on points against Bob Thornton. Palmer did most of the leading. ’ ______
