CHRISTMAS PROVISIONS

WELFARE LEAGUE’S HELP. 230 PARCELS DISTRIBUTED. The distribution of some 230 parcels to the unemployed yesterday by the Waikato Social Welfare League will ensure a much brighter and happier Christmas among many needy Hamilton families. The parcels, which were prepared by the ladies of the Hamilton Lyceum Club, contained Christmas puddings, groceries, honey, jam, and in some cases vegetables. Several luxury items were also included. Two hundred and eighty meat orders were likewise distributed. Of these orders 50 were supplied by Mr

W. R. Shattock and 10 by the Premier Meat Mart.
