NEW ZEALAND STAMPS.
COMPETITION FOR DESIGNS. ENTRIES FROM ALL OVER WORLD (Ry Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLI NG T ON, Wcdne sda y. The competition announced throughout the world some months ago, offering prizes for designs for a new set of New Zealand stamps, will close at the end of this month. Entries are to 'hand in large numbers from all parts of the world, and local entries are expected to arrive during the next few days. A rumour which gained currency recently that the Department had already ordered a new' set of stamps is groundless. It was probably based on the fact that new revenue stamps, which have nothing to do with postage, have already made their ap-. pcarancc.
