BASKETBALL.
LOWER WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. A knock-out tournament was played at lluntly by several basketball teams from surrounding districts. After the matches a meeting was held, which resulted in the formation of an association called the Lower Waikato Basketball Association. The games in the competition resulted as follows: A teams. —Te Kauwhata 8, v. Tauplri 2; Convent 9, v. lluntly Old Girls 1; Huntly High School 4, v. Te Hoe 1; Te Kauwhata 5, v. Convent 2; Huntly High School 4, v. Rotowaro 2. Finals: Huntly High School 4, v. To Kauwhata 3. B. teams. —Te Kauwhata 7, v. Huntly Old Girls 1; Convent 10 v. Huntly. High School 1. Final: Te Kauwhata 3, v. Convent 2. In the evening a dance was given by the Huntly girls to raise funds to send a team to Auckland, and was well patronised. ,
