This evening’s performance of the Regimental and Municipal Band lias been postponed. A full attendance at practice is requested. "What, arc we going lo do now—starve?” asked a man after two resolutions had been carried at a meeting of tiie unemployed on Cook’s Gardens, Wanganui. The question came as a direct contrast to the enthusiastic spirit with which tiie motions had bc-n passed, and caused a round of laughter.
