Dr. Echeguren, vicar-general of the diocese of Vittoria, has been arrested at San Sebastian, owing to his being in possession of documents, including a letter from the Primate, Cardinal Segura, which advise a rapid sale of religious properties, in view of the clause in the draft constitution providing fo • the nationalisation of the property oi the religious orders.
