ACTRESS’ 2000 DRESSES.
MME. RUBINSTEIN. When Mme. Ida Rubinstein, the ; great French actress and drancer, left Paris for London, where she appeared for Hie first time, she travelled almost in greater style Ilian a queen. She required at least half Hie train for her 70 tons of luggage, which includes 2000 dresses, hundreds of hats, and scenery, ami her entourage. She took with tier GO dancers and 20 singers, as well as 30 oilier actors, while for her own special attention she had the selected hairdresser who always travels with her and six Parisian dressmakers who attend to her personally. Her party actually consists of 130 persons. No actress had made a descent on London in such style since the time of Gaby Deslys. Mine. Rubinstein and her company appeared at Covent Garden House for a fortnight.
