JOHNNY & JOAN
| JEAR EVERYONE, — Johnny and Joan wore helping to clean at the Fairy Palace, and Bone thought, as a surprise, he would take up tho stair carpet for them. Ho had taken out the stair-rods and was starting to roll tho carpot from tho first landing when—Wow I!—ho slipped! Dcwn he camo, bump-bump, with tho carpet rolling round him. “How good of Bone to take up the carpot for us,” said Joan, when she saw tho roll of carpet at tho foot of tho stairs. Suddenly a voice from tho middle of tho roll moaned: “I d-dldn’t take the c-carpet up I brought it d-down,” and out came poor Bone bruised and dizzy. I should take a hint from Bone’s misfortune if I were you—always bo careful how you walk on th*» stair carpet when Mummy has taken tho stair-rods out. PETER PAN.
