farmer sentenced. A SCATHING REPORT. AUCKLAND, Saturday. In the Supreme Court yesterday sentence of reformative detention for a period not exceeding 18 months was passed on Daniel Sisley, farmer, of Te Teko, who had been found guilty of the theft of a bullock. His Honour said the probation officer made a number of charges against Sisley, saying that he associated with the worst typo of character, that his wife ami family had turned him out, that he hail been warned by the police to leave Te Toko, ami that he was the real instigator of the shooting of cattle. There was another serious matter proved by evidence, that right through the course of the hearing Sisley had tried in every possible way to interfere with Crown witnesses bj threats A sentence of reformative detention not exceeding 18 months aus passed.
