Miss Lily Copplestone lias sent a letter to the Australian Press Association from Grlsnez st.ding that she hid not abandoned the attempt but that Channel swimming seemed to be a game of patience. She adds: "I have waited for suitable weather since the end of July, arid 1 may have to wait lor ages yet.” The London swimmer, Mrs Coleman, will be the flrst of a dozen aspirants to start on the venture and Miss Coppiestone will follow her.
