The final figures show that in today’s referendum out of 26,500,000 possible votes only 37 per cent., favoured the dissolution of the Prussian Diet. There Is general relief in Germany at the news that the referendum failed. It is felt that if it had succeeded foreign confidence in Germany’s stability would have been shaken and that the country would have been plunged into chaos.
