RECORD PRODUCTION. IN THE AUCKLAND DISTRICT. For the season which ended on June 30 Auckland has capped previous records In the production of butter-fat. The season's yield was 132,841.0001 b, compared with 129,300.0001 b in the season 1929-30, an Increase of 3.541,0001 b, or 2.73 per cent. Production first passed the 100.000,0001 b mark In 1926-27. Based on an average pay-out of Is 3d per lb butter-fat, the yield of the 1929-30 season was worth to the province approximately £8.081,000. The annual reports of the dairy companies Indicate that Is per lb can be taken as the approximate average return for the season just ended, and. on this basis, the return to the province would be about £6,642,000, or £1,439,000 below that of the previous season.
