Warwick: First innings, 128; followed on and made 167 for' two wickets. Leicester won on the first innings. Problem Raised. Jt is claimed that Glamorgan’s declaration was illegal, because it -did not allow Northampton 100 minutes’ batting. Turnbull’s (Glamorgan) declaration has raised a new cricket problem. He and Jupp (captain of the. Northampton side), and also the umpires, hold that the rule regarding 100 minutes’ batting does not apply, owing to Northampton already having declared. Yorkshire's plucky declaration against Gloucester, when behind on the first innings, was rewarded.
