Italy is ready to accept drastic reductions in armaments, provided that other countries do likewise, said the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, in an interview with journalists, at which the American Secretary of State, Mr H. L. Stimson, was present. Italy, he said, was ready to accept the lowest disarmament figure, even 10,000 guns for all Italy. She would go to the next Disarmament Conference in a spirit of candour and sincerity.
