ECONOMIC PENSIONS.
THE 10 PER CENT. CUT. POSITION OF EX-SOLDIERS. WELLINGTON, Friday. While a" 10 per cent, cut is to be applied to returned soldiers’ economic pensions, it is stated on the authority of the Commissioner of Pensions that the maximum reduction cannot exceed three shillings per week, as it only applies to the soldiers’ economic pension, 'and docs not touch the economic pension of his wife and children.
