MINER’S SUICIDE.

NO WORK OR MONEY. (By Trleprapli.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. A verdict of suicide by gas poisoning was returned by the Coroner at an inquest into the death of Andrew Jock, a West Coast miner, who was found dead in a sited at the rear of a house where he boarded in Christchurch.

The evidence showed that Jock had been out of work and was short of money. He was in arrears with his beard* and the landlady had told him lie must pay at least a part of Hie money or leave.
