RAGWORT KILLED.

100 PER CENT. EFFECTIVE. SODIUM CHLORATE SPRAYED. The spraying of ragwort with a solution of sodium chlorate has proved very effective at the Government’s experimental farm at Mamaku, according to Dr. G. J. Realms, Director of Agriculture. The dircclor told a Times representative . that two paddocks which were badly infested with young ragwort, were sprayed over the entire surface with a two and a-half per cent, solution. An old potato sprayer was used for the purpose. The result was completely successful, llie plants being 100 per cent, killed.
