Slump ricked himself yesterday and is an unlikely starter in the Northern Steeples. Trainer W. J. McLean, states that Prince Lu will contest the Remuera Hurdles in preference to the Northern Steeplechase in which event he will he ridden by W. Rennie. WAIKATO CLUB. FIXTURE ON JUNE 13 AND 15. BIG JUMPING FEATURED. POPULAR ADMISSION RATES. The Waikato Racing Club will provide patrons with an extra two days’ racing this season by the fixture which is scheduled for the club’s headquarters at Te Rapa on Saturday, June 13, and Monday, June 15. The innovation of a winter gathering at which hurdling and steeplechasing will be prominent should prove popular in the chief centre ol' the district, which has, for many years, had leading stake-earners in the first grade of jumping competitions in all parts of the Dominion. Recent evidence of the fact was to notice in the Great Northern Hurdles, in which Prince Lu and Lucess finished first and second.

. The programme to be dispensed at Te Rapa will provide the South Auckland public with the opportunity of witnessing jumping tests in their own territory, a facility likely to be largely availed of. The club has reduced admission charges .to the popular rates of 2s to the course, and 3s (ladies), and 5s (men) to the lawn enclosure.
