FLIGHT TO SOUTH AMERICA. SENSATIONAL REPORT. DESCENT IN THE SEA. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received June 5, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. The German flying boat Bonder Do X., which is en route to South America, came down at sea GO miles from Praia, the capital of the Cape Verde Islands, which are situated in the Atlantic 350 miles west of Cape Verde. The Do X landed in safety, and so far as is known there have been no casualties. Tugs are proceeding to the assistance of the flying boat. “ FLYING ON." AN ERRONEOUS REPORT. United Press Assn—Elec. X. came down lias been traced to an erroneous radio message from a steamer which mistook a downward movement for a forced landing.
