CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

MEETING AT MORRINSVILLE. COMMUNITY LIGHTING. There xvas a full attendance of members at the meeting of the Morrinsvilie Chamber of Commerce on Thursday night, at which the president, Mr A. 11. J. Wyatt, presided. The Thames Valley Power Board acknowledged receipt of a letter from the chamber on the subject of community lighting and stated that it will be pleased to meet the chamber and discuss the question. Several letters were read from other boroughs giving the prices paid for lighting service. Prices varied ■from £3 to £4 10s for 100 candle lights, and the hours the lights were in use during the different months of the year. It was resolved that when the chamber meets the power board it •should endeavour to arrange for a supply at £3 per 100 candle, light, 'and in lieu of a charge of £2 for installation the first year’s charge he paid in advance. It was decided that the committee endeavour to get all the tradespeople in the borough lo join in the community lighting scheme. The Railway Yards. Mr C. M. Gummer brought up tho question of the very bad state of the road at the entrance to the railway station. The Borough Council had put the road in first-class order up to the railway gates, but the railway yards were full of holes, and in many places in bad condition. It was decided to write to the stationmaster calling his attention to the matter.
