MR LANG’S APPOINTMENTS. UPROAR IN THE ASSEMBLY. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright SYDNEY, June 2. In the New South Wales Legislative Assembly to-day Mr J. M. Dunningham (Nationalist) moved the adjournment, in order to discuss the reputations of about 90 dole inspectors who were recently appointed by Mr Lang’s Government. Mr Dunningham gave the names of three men who had been dismissed from their unions for misappropriation of union funds. Another man had been in prison for being a member of a " basher gang ” during the timber workers’ strike. Another was accused of witnessing false declarations at the last State elections. The House was in an uproar. The Opposition members declared that a greater scandal had never been exposed In the political history of the State. The Minister of Labour, Mr J. M. Baddeley, replying to Mr Dunningham, said he was unaware that any of the dole Inspectors were undesirables, but he would make the fullest inquiries from the officer responsible for the appointments. The motion was talked out.
