at frankton yards. BEEF PRICES FIRMER. Beef quotations showed a rise at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day and sheep prices were firm at late rates. The values obtained for pigs were easier than the previous week. There was not as large a yarding of beef as usual and there was a medium yarding of sheep. Pigs were panned in average numbers. Up to the time of going to press the auctioneers quote as under: — Farmers’ Auctioneering Company. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: A smaller yarding of sheep mev with a poorer demand. Sheep: Medium fat wethers to 13s; light do., 11s 7d to 11s lOd; medium fat ewes, 6s to 8s lid; light fat lambs, 8s 6d to 9s 6d. Store Sheep.—A small yarding. Competition dull. Four and 5-year ewes running with Southdown rams, to 6s 3d. Cattle. —No ox beef was yarded, and a small yarding of cow beef came forward. Prices for cow and heifer beef were firmer: Light fat heifers to £3 10s; cows, £2 15s to £3 '7s; forward condition cows, £2 to £2 12s 6d; boner cows, £1 7s to £1 15s. Pigs.—A medium yarding came forward, with prices easier than latest quotations: Medium baooners, £'3 Is to £3 9s; light do., £2 12s to £3; heavy porkers, £2 5s to £2 10s; medium do., 38s to £2 4s; light do., 25s to 355. G. W. Vorcoe and Company. Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Company Limited, quote:—Heavy fat wethers, 15s to 15s 9d; lighter fat wethers, 13s to 14s; heavy fat lambs, 13s to 14s; lighter fat lambs, 10s to 11s 3d; heavy fat bullocks, £7 15s to £8 ss; lighter, £6 2s 6d to £6 10s; heavy fat cows, £7 18s to £8 2s 6d; lighter fat cows, £6 2s 6d to £7 3s; light fat cows £3 17s 6d to £5 ss. Heavy baconers, £3 5s to £3 9s; lighter (baconers, £2 16s to £3 4s; heavy porkers, £2 10s to £2 15s; lighter porkers, £2 2s to £2 Bs. Loan and Mercantile Company. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., quote:—Fat wethers, 11s 6d to 12s; lighter wothers to 10s lOd; heavy fat ewes, 9s 3d to 10s lid; lighter fat ewes, 7s 2d to 7s 9d; heavy fat iambs, 11s 6d to 12s lid; lighter, 9s to 10s 6d. Good fat cows, £6 17s 6d to £7 7s Gel; lighter fat cows, £b'l7s 6d to £6 10s; light fat cows, £3 17s 6d to £4 17s. Heavy baconers, £3 5s to £3 15s; lighter baconers, £2 18s to £3 3s; heavy porkers, £2 8s to £2 15s; lighter £2 2s to £2 ss. Dalgety and Company. Dalgety and Company Ltd., quote:— Good fat wethers, 13s 3d to Lis; lighter, 11s 6d to 13s; good fat ewes, to 10s; heavy fat lambs, 13s 6d to 14s 6d; lighter fat lambs, 10s 6d to 12s 6d; light, fat lambs, 9s to 9s ltd.
