WALLACE MILKING MACHINE.
ATTRACTION TO FARMERS. The Waikato Winter Show is certainly better than ever this year, and in keeping with the Show, the Wallace exhibition stand is better than ever before. In the past this enterprising firm have shown many of their manufactures of Merest to dairy farmers, but the 1931 exhibits eclipse all past efforts to bring before the farmer the most progressive and effective methods of farming. Tills well-known concern of Hamilton, with brandies throughout the Island, plays a big part in the life of the farmer, and naturally its display is ,the subject of constant inquiry. Several of the exhibits shown on this stand are entirely new and have not been shown before in any part of New Zealand, and any farmer who has progress for a motto would be well advised to call and see this truly wonderful exhibition. Genera! Farm Implements. A comprehensive display of farm machinery is incorporated on the Wallace stand. This includes the Wallace Tripod and Caterpillar Harrows, which cut the ground every li inches. Replacements of knives cost only 5d with these harrows, which are available in all sizes from 6ft upwards. The Wallace ‘‘Surcso," the latest invention in topdressers, is being shown. The Sureso has no stars, Is of light draught, requires only one horse, and does exceptionally good work on hillsides.
Rlackstone Engines are also being featured. These arc tiie products of England’s famous engine manufacturers, Messrs Blackslone’s Ltd. The Wallace exhibition is tastefully set out and would do credit to any show in the world. it is situated directly behind the root exhibitions. Any farmer who leaves the Show without having inspected the Wallace exhibition will not have seen the complete 1931 Waikato Winter Show. Incidentally it might here he mentioned that tiie Wallace Milking Machine installed in Central Africa by Messrs D. McL. and C. Wallace some few years ago, is still giving entire satisfaction, allhough worked by black labour —a fact that has led to a number of orders coming to Wallace’s from the same country. The Super Machine. Three types of milking machines are on show, of sizes to suit various farms and conditions. This year “Wallace”; are offering better qualities than ever. As an instance, attention is at once attracted when inspecting the super machine, to the solid copper vacuum tank in place of the usual method of using galvanised iron. This tank makes the weak link of the old methods one of tiie strongest, and so a super Wallace machine now more than ever represents to the farmer a whole life investment. The Wallace firm have made the necessary internal arrangements which put them in a position to bring their costs down to bedrock, thus making startling reductions which are being passed on to the farmer to meet the present depressing times. The reductions, we believe, in this season’s prices are substantial. Wallace prices now make It the most profitable purchase for every dairyfarmer.
