Herd-testing Figures. The April averages for the 70 groups being tested by the New Zealand Herd-testing Association show that the Te Puninga group was third on the list, with an average of 2i.851b of fat for each of its 137(5 cows. Only the Ngarua and Piopio groups, which have only half the number of cow 3, could show a better average, their figures being 22.411 b and 22.951 b respectively. The highest herd in the group was one of 95 cows, which had the splendid average of 27.041 bof fat per cow. The highest cow produced Gslb. Personal. Mr IC. McDonald, of Kaupokonui, Taranaki, is staying with Mr and Mrs W. J. Dakers. Mr and< Mrs L. Cubis are spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss B. Mueller has returned after spending the school vacation in Auckland. Mr Jim Donald is home again, and progressing favourably.
