£6900 FOR DISTRIBUTION. (By Telegraph.—Pres? Association.) NAPIER, Thursday. The sum of £5900 has bhhn left by the late Mr Bernard Chambers to charitable purposes as follows: — Waiapu Diocese £3OOO. France Home at Eskdale £SOO, St. Hilda’s Home at Otane £SOO, Jubilee Institute for the Blind at Auckland £soo', Havelock North Presbyterian Church £3OO, Havelock North Anglican Church £250, Hastings Salvation Army £250, Hastings Plunket Society £250, Napier Girls’ Friendly Society £2OO, New Zealand Bible Society £IOO. In addition any sum left over, not exceeding £6OOO, is to be devoted to research into plant and animal disease. Massey College is suggested as a suitable centre for the research. The estate has been sworn for probate at under £IOO,OOO.
