With many rumours of some weakening influence (as yet intangible overhanging the market, stocks underwent further considerable losses. United States Steels led the downward move, touching 91i and closing at 92} (off three). Trading Increased in volume, hut rallying power was absent, Steel interests and railways suffered most with the majority of other important issues decreasing up to ten points. No definitely adverse news is current upon which the continued break oould be blamed, but the liquidation js perhaps due to a colleotion of h“ n ° r depressive factors, none of which, alone, would be serious.
