CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
DR. THACKER SUED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. A claim for £287 damages against I)r. H. T. J. Thacker was heard in the Supreme Court to-day. South Island Motors, Limited, claimed this amount as the extent of damage to a motorcar which was lent lo Dr. Thacker. The damage was caused by an accident in which his chauffeur became involved on the road to Akaroa in November, 1030. The defence denied the allegations that care was not taken and that defendant was under any liability. Judgment was reserved.
