COMING ELECTION.
THE HAURAKI SEAT. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. It is likely that there will be a number of candidates for the Hauraki seat, rendered vacant by the death of Mr A. W. Hall. Names already mentioned are those of Messrs E. Walton and S. W. House, who have previously sought the Hauraki nomination. It has already been suggested that Sir James Parr, late High Commissioner, may be in the field. The executive of the party in the Hauraki- constiluency will meet the divisional organiser, Air O. Gordon Edwards, at Pokeno, on Friday evening, to make arrangements for the conference of delegates. The secretary of the Auckland executive of the Labour Parly stated yesterday I hat if the party decided to contest the seat Air C. R. Petrie, who was the Labour candidate at the 1928 election, will be the nominee. The local executive of the United Partv organisation is awaiting word from Wellington. At the 1928 election, Mr E. Allen, of Buckland, was the Party’s candidate.
